Abort capability available
Astronaut · Who you talk to: The NASA test director and the commander
At T-5 minutes 20 seconds the test director tells the commander the launch abort system is available. The crew reviews what they do if an abort is called.
What this case adds
- Confirm the abort call and your role in it.
- Crews must train for abort scenarios and emergency operations.
Critical fails
- Answering "Go" with an open problem in your system.
- Waiving a mandatory launch constraint after the terminal count has started: it cannot be waived.
- Holding more than 3 minutes between T-6 and T-1:30 and pressing on instead of recycling to T-10.
- Not knowing the abort or emergency procedure for your role.
