Waste & RecyclingProtective gear cleaned or disposed of
Protective clothing and equipment are decontaminated, cleaned, laundered, maintained or replaced as needed to keep them effective. The equipment and solvents used for decontamination are themselves decontaminated or disposed of, and a commercial laundry that cleans the gear is told of the hazards. It follows paragraphs (k)(4), (k)(5)(i) and (k)(7) of the federal HAZWOPER rule.
