Waste & RecyclingSite control: the map and the work zones

Before clean-up work begins, site control is in place: a site map with its work zones, the buddy system, site communications with the emergency alert, safe work practices and the nearest medical help. You learn where the hot zone, the decontamination zone and the clean zone are before you go in. It follows paragraph (d) and Appendix C of the federal HAZWOPER rule.
