About the AMC Clinical Examination
The Australian Medical Council clinical examination is the OSCE of the standard pathway for international medical graduates, taken after passing the AMC CAT multiple-choice exam.
It has 16 stations of 10 minutes (2 minutes of reading and 8 of assessment) in medicine, surgery, women's health, child health and mental health. Each station focuses on history taking, examination, diagnostic formulation or management and counselling; 14 are scored and a pass needs 9 of them.
