About the COPR exams
The Canadian Organization of Paramedic Regulators (COPR) runs the entry-to-practice exams for emergency medical responders (EMR), primary care paramedics (PCP) and advanced care paramedics (ACP), used by several provinces to register paramedics.
The exams are computer-based multiple-choice tests built on the Canadian Paramedic Competence Framework (CPCF). EMR and PCP exams already follow it; the ACP exam moves to it in June 2027.
