About the MCCQE
The Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE, formerly MCCQE Part I) assesses the medical knowledge and clinical decision-making of physicians at the end of medical school. It is required for international medical graduates applying to Canadian residency and is part of the LMCC.
It is a one-day computer-based exam of 230 multiple-choice questions in two sections, built on the MCC Examination Objectives: dimensions of care (health promotion, acute, chronic, psychosocial) and physician activities.
