About the REx-PN

The Regulatory Exam - Practical Nurse (REx-PN) is the entry-to-practice exam for Registered Practical Nurses in Ontario and Licensed Practical Nurses in British Columbia. It was developed with NCSBN and has been in use since January 2022.

It is a computer adaptive exam and its test plan follows the client needs: safe and effective care environment, health promotion, psychosocial integrity and physiological integrity. Registered nurses in Canada write the NCLEX-RN.
