Our patientsMeet Blocky

To learn OSCE and medical exams, what matters is technique: what you ask, where you place your hands and which sign you recognize. That is why Alehundred Making Synapses goes for simplicity. Blocky is a patient made of blocks, a multipurpose character that becomes any patient and lets you apply every technique of the exam, case after case. And thanks to the multiplayer platform, in both the free and the paid version, and to the remote access educators have to the portal and to the game, medical practice becomes easier in every way.

— Alejandro Friant, creator of Making Synapses

An original character by Alehundred Making Synapses, created to solve the shortage of clinical cases.

Why a patient made of blocks

Blocky keeps in sight what the exam evaluates and removes everything else.

Simple, so you learn more

Every body area is clear at a glance and every step of the exam makes sense the first time. Your attention stays on technique: the interview, inspection, palpation, auscultation.

One character, every patient

Man, woman, pregnant woman, teenagers, children and a baby. Body, age, skin, hair, street clothes or exam gown: Blocky combines into the patient each case needs.

Signs you can see

Pallor, cyanosis, jaundice, rash, pain, crying and facial palsy show on the face and skin, clear and unambiguous, so you learn to recognize them before you see them on a person.

Cases that never run out

With Blocky, the Making Synapses library starts with 705 clinical cases in 5 languages, which both users and universities can extend and customize without limit in the portal. Repeat the exam as many times as you want, with a different patient each time and your score at the end.

Blocky and all its patients are original characters by Alehundred Studios.
